چکیده

This study aims to evaluate the Proton Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (1H-NMR)-based metabolomic profiles of monovarietal olive oils obtained from Arbequina and Koroneiki, which are typically present in Mediterranean basin grown Spain Greece, respectively. Micro-milled were olives harvested both their cultivar home countries (Spain Greece) Italy. Investigations by 1H NMR metabolic profiling carried out develop a strategy for correct interpretation differences based on geographical origins. The Spectroscopy multivariate statistical analysis (MVA) revealed significant fatty acids profile as well unsaponifiable fraction, not only according cultivars but also specific origin used. In particular, higher polyunsaturated (PUFAs) content than those Conversely, Italian Koroneiki showed monounsaturated (MUFAs) Greek oils. Regarding Extra Virgin Olive Oils (EVOOs) minor cultivars, using Italy characterized relative phenolic compounds. It was found that each investigated (Arbequina Koroneiki), very popular super high density (SHD) planting systems, assumed well-characterized EVOO when These results may contribute extending enforcing available literature data NMR-based chemometric models powerful tools EVOOs discrimination.

Evaluation of Chemical Characteristics of Extra Virgin Olive Oils Extracted from Three Monovarieties of Mari, Arbequina and Koroneiki in Fadak and Gilvan Regions

Olive oil in general due to it monounsaturation, stability, nutritive value, consistency, taste andaroma might be considered as a valuable and luxury oil. Annual importation of olive oil to Iran fromMediterranean countries is on a large scale although some olive oils are produced in Iran particularly in the northand some plantation has been applied in different provinces particularly in Fars. Single-cultivar extra virgin olive oil classification using a potentiometric electronic tongue.

Label authentication of monovarietal extra virgin olive oils is of great importance. A novel approach based on a potentiometric electronic tongue is proposed to classify oils obtained from single olive cultivars (Portuguese cvs. Cobrançosa, Madural, Verdeal Transmontana; Spanish cvs. Arbequina, Hojiblanca, Picual). A meta-heuristic simulated annealing algorithm was applied to select the most in...

Chemical composition and oxidative stability of Tunisian monovarietal virgin olive oils with regard to fruit ripening.

The chemical composition of virgin olive oil may be influenced by genotype and different agronomic (i.e. fruit ripeness degree, water supply) and technological factors. This article reports the evaluation of the influence of the olive ripening stage on the quality indices, the major and the minor components and the oxidative stability of the two main monovarietal Tunisian cultivars (cvv. Chétou...

Phytochemicals and other characteristics of Croatian monovarietal extra virgin olive oils from Oblica, Lastovka and Levantinka varieties.

Virgin olive oils from the fruits of Croatian autochthonous varieties Oblica, Lastovka and Levantinka were characterized for the first time. Headspace volatiles were analyzed by HS-SPME/GC-FID/MS. The main volatiles were C6 compounds. The most abundant was (E)-hex-2-enal (62.60%-69.20%). (Z)-Hex-3-enal was not found in Lastovka oil, while Levantinka oil did not contain hexanal. Tocopherols, chl...
